I now have a 3 column template thanks to bizwhiz at Tips for New Bloggers: Three Columns Minima Template. He has provided very clear instructions for converting from the 2 column to the 3 column template.
This is something I have wanted to do for some time now but I didn't want to make a mistake, bizwhiz makes it all very simple with HTML code you can copy and paste right from his site.
As you know when making any changes to your template you should always remember to backup your template। I find it is also very useful to look at Preview before Saving Template changes, you can always Clear Edits and start all over if things don't look right to you.
After following all of bizwhiz instructions I noticed that I had my profile on both sidebars and I was hesitant to save template changes, no problem with that as the profile is just another one of your Page Elements. So after saving the changes you have made to your template you will need to go into the Layout of your blog and click on the edit profile and remove it from the new sidebar and you're all set to go.
This post was my way of giving a SHOUT OUT to a fellow blogger for sharing all his knowledge and information with us. Remember to do the same after visiting his site!!
Take a look at bizwhiz Profile, he has much more to offer.
